The Valley of Fire is a small and largely unknown state park Northeast of Las Vegas,NV. These red sandstone formations were created over 150 million years ago from the shifting sand dunes, during a period of great uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion.
All of the photos were taken with a Nikon D800 and a 16-35mm f4 lens. Most were long exposures of up to 10 sec, at ISO 100.
